First brewed in London in 1722 as a substitute for a then popular mixture of three beers. Advertised as “Entire” it was billed as being richer and more nourishing than brown ale and perfect for laborers such as porters. Uses roasted un-malted barley. Full malt character but balanced with a hops. Has a deep color with a red hue.
